Long description:An enthusiastic individual is sought to join a busy policy, ethics and parliamentary affairs team of this leading charity. An important part of the role will be to provide administrative support for the team’s work. In particular, you will be responsible for the administration of the various committees which work with the team.

You will also be monitoring relevant policy developments and assisting in the preparation of policy responses and updates. This role has significant scope for development for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and will have good writing skills. They will be highly organised, able to prioritise and work proactively within a small team.

·To research and draft responses to policy consultations

·To prepare updates on policy, ethics and parliamentary affairs work for subscribers’ magazine and the organisation’s website

·To assist the parliamentary affairs work of the charity, including administering the work at party political conferences

·To work as part of the HQ team on all aspects of work including events, publications and subscriptions.

·Any other duties which may be required of the post holder

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write appropriately and clearly for different audiences and in different styles
Able to build good working relationships both internally within the charity and externally to provide the best platform for the charities work
Close attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills
